Our commitment to the local community means that we seek to develop mutually rewarding partnerships with a number of educational institutions, helping them to meet the needs of the curriculum and to provide work experience and vocational training opportunities.
We aim to offer as many work experience placements as we can each year. Because demand always exceeds supply, priority is given to the children and grand children of our employees and to those studying at one of the local schools with whom we have a particular link. Those schools are Aylesford High School, Holmesdale Technology College, Swadelands School and Sir Joseph Williamson's Mathematical School.
Similar conditions apply to undergraduate sponsorships and also to student vacation jobs, with employees' relatives taking priority along with students from higher education institutes with whom we have a partnership, such as the University of Greenwich.
Requests for work experience, summer jobs and undergraduate sponsorship are all handled by our Learning and Development Advisor, Marisa George, who coordinates placements and ensures all necessary safety requirements are met. All applicants should complete a work placement application form or by contacting Marisa by email at marisa.george@aylesford-newsprint.co.uk or phone on 01622 796381. Those seeking sponsorship should contact Marisa by email.
We offer a limited number of graduate training positions, suitable for those with engineering, chemistry or paper science related degrees. Applications should be made using the Company application form and the procedure detailed on the Selection Process page.
